On the morning of April 12, 1998, Southbrook Church held its first Sunday morning worship service. Southbrook is the seventh daughter church of Elmbrook Church. Although autonomous, Southbrook remains part of the Brook family commitment to reach the greater Milwaukee area with the good news of Jesus.

Southbrook held services in Forest Park Middle School for its first fourteen years before moving to its current and first permanent location on West Saint Martins Road.

In the Fall of 2010, Southbrook completed the purchase of 18 acres of land, located just two blocks South of the intersection of 76th St. and Ryan Road in Franklin, WI. However, in March of 2012, Faith Christian Fellowship Church called Southbrook asking if we would be interested in purchasing their property and church facility. We prayed and performed the due diligence necessary to discern if this was God’s will for us. A few months later Southbrook voted to purchase Faith Christian Fellowship Church, and we held our first service in our current location on July 8th, 2012.

Since 2012, we have experienced rapid growth, a significant facility expansion and an increase in our ability to serve our surrounding communities for God.

If you are looking for a church home, then we invite you to visit Southbrook. If after coming you find that Southbrook is not the right fit, just let us know as we would love to connect you to other great churches in our area.

Our Mission

Helping people connect and grow with God

OUR VALUES

Grow Spiritually
It is our desire for everyone to be growing closer to Jesus! Our weekend services are designed to connect with a wide range of people, and to draw each of us into a relationship with God. At Southbrook we believe that Small Groups are the most effective ways for us to Grow Spiritually. It is within a group that we can ask questions, pray together and to learn from God and others. We want everyone to be in a Small Group to Grow Spiritually!

Serve Graciously
God calls us to serve each other and to serve our local communities. At Southbrook, we are passionate about connecting with area schools, local senior centers, and civic groups in planned acts of community service. Many people serve at church through our volunteer teams who assist with parking, ushering, greeting and in many other ways. When we Serve Graciously we reflect God’s love to our friends and neighbors!

Live Generously
As passionate followers of Jesus, we want to live our lives in such a way that others will see a difference in us. Living Generously means that we joyfully use our skills, our time and our resources to help expand God’s Church and the work that He is doing both locally and around the world.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; Matthew 5:18

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of people, and the Divine, final authority for all Christian faith and life.

Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Matthew 28:19; Revelation 4:11

We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 8:6; Luke 3:22; John 6:38, 17:1-5

We believe in God the Father, ruler and sovereign over all.

Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1: 18-25; 1 Corinthians 15; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Peter 2:21-25; Acts 1:9, 10; 1 John 2:1,2; Matthew 25:31-41; Ephesians 1:20; Hebrews 1:3; John 10:30

We believe in Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the scriptures. Furthermore, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Father. He is now our advocate and high priest. He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

Ephesians 1:13, 14; John 16:8-13; Romans 8:9; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 5:18; 1 John 2:20-27

We believe in the Holy Spirit whose ministry it is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and to convict, regenerate, seal, indwell, guide, instruct and empower for life and service.

Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:21, 22; Romans 3:9-23; Ephesians 2:1-3; Titus 3:5; Isaiah 59:2

We believe that people were created in the image of God, but chose to sin. All people are therefore, spiritually dead, separated from God, and unable to obtain salvation and eternal life through any efforts of their own.

Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:4-7; John 1:12, 13, 3:16, 5:25; Romans 5:9-11, 8:1; 1 John 5:11-12; Acts 4:12

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for forgiveness of sin, eternal life, and reconciliation to God. Those who believe in and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God.

Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 2:38, 8:12; Luke 22:19, 20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances commanded by our Lord Jesus and are, therefore, to be observed by the church. They are not, however, to be regarded as means of salvation. This church shall practice believers baptism by immersion.

Acts 2:41, 42; Romans 12:5; Ephesians 1:22-23, 3:21; 2 Timothy 2:2; Matthew 28:18-20

We believe that the true church is composed of everyone who has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ, who is its Lord and Head. God has called His church to worship Him, to disciple believers, and to proclaim the Gospel to all the world. The local church shall be composed of members of the true church.

Hebrews 9:27; Matthew 25:31-46; John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:11-15; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 3:5

We believe that it is appointed for man once to die, and after this, judgment will occur. We also believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and eternal separation from God.

Mark 13:32; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:3; Revelation 1:7; 2 Peter 3:10-14

We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
